Larkhall & District Volunteer Group are delighted to share the great news that they have been awarded the magnificent sum of £40,000 from the Morrisons Foundation towards the cost of a new minibus!  The Morrisons Foundation supports charities making a positive difference in local communities across England, Scotland and Wales. They award grants for charity projects and match fund Morrisons colleague fundraising.

Charities are encouraged to visit www.morrisonsfoundation.com to find out how to apply for funds.
Sandra McCrory, LDVG Charity Manager said “We have been having a lot of problems lately with our minibus tail lifts, which are essential in assisting those with mobility issues access our transport.  The purchase of a new, state of the art minibus with a fully working tail lift, will enable us to continue with this vital support to our members and the community”.

LDVG plan to purchase a 17-seater Minibus Lite, with tail lift and many other other useful features. This ‘lite’ minibus will remove the requirement for a D1 on your driving license and will open up further volunteering opportunities.
