ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2018

Our 2018 Annual Geberal Meeting took place on Wednesday 12th September, at 5.30pm.  Many thanks to all who attended.

 

FUNDING NEWS ...

2nd July 2018: We are delighted to report that we have successfully been awarded £1000 from Tesco Bags of Help and £200 from Asda Green Tokens.  The Tesco grant will contribute to the cost of replacing one of our minibuses, and the ASDA grant will be used to cover volunteer expenses for our free Handyperson Service.  Thanks to both Tesco and ASDA for their generousity and to those customers who voted for us!

 

New Partnerships for 2018:

 

Citizens Advice BureauCitizens Advice Bureau Hamilton Partnership

LDVG are delighted to annouce a new partnership with CAB Hamilton.  Drop in clinics will run fortnightly and alternate between a Wednesday and a Friday from 11am until 1pm.  The first drop in date is Wednesday 18th July.  Please see our calendar for other dates.

 

 

Heart of African UK logoHeart of Africa UK

LDVG will be bringing a taste of Africa to Larkhall!  In partnership with the Heart of Africa UK charity, we will be piloting 2 African themed lunches on Thursday 19th July and Tuesday 24th July from 12.30-3pm.  There will be a variety of traditional African food for you to try with information on how to cook the food for yourself.  Tuoyo and his wife Caroline, will be demonstrating traditional African dress and dancing and will attend the Tea Dance on Friday 17th July to teach our members some new moves.  If you are interested in any of these events, please phone to book a place.

 

 

 

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2017

Larkhall and District Volunteer Group, funded by the Big Lottery, held their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 28th September 2017 at 10am in their new premises at Registry House, 55 Victoria Street, Larkhall.
